Fiery Sweet and True: the beginning

Fiery Sweet and True presents their very first production Sols-Tits! A Winter Burlesque Extravaganza (2025).

Fiery Sweet and True, a burlesque production trio, was conceived in the fall of 2025 and consists of Candy Ramone, Joan of Snark, and myself. Last December marked our very first production and my first experience producing a show at all. I was honestly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I’ve always thought of myself primarily as a performer, and I wasn’t sure how production would feel, but working as part of a team allowed me to contribute my strengths while also experimenting, learning, and practicing skills outside my comfort zone. All in all, I’m really glad it went so well and that I loved it as much as I did—because we’re doing it again in spring 2026.

After the show, the FS&T team met to discuss pros and deltas, and we also reached out to performers with a feedback form to gather outside perspective. One of the biggest change requests we received was that some audience members struggled to see floorwork, so we’re actively working on solutions for our next show.

We’re also focused on streamlining the overall experience, which means improving the flow of the show and adding a dedicated stage kitten/manager. For this first production, we each wore many hats: producing, hosting, kittening, and performing. While that certainly kept things lively, having a dedicated human in that role will allow us to shift priorities and be more intentional moving forward.

We also filmed the entire performance, though the camera angle could have been better. That’s something we’ll be experimenting with for the next show. There are other changes in store too, but we’ll leave a little room for mystery.

I’m deeply grateful, because so much went right. The casting felt strong, the space and venue worked beautifully, and I heard plenty of “oohs” and “ahhs” once all the décor was set up. Audience energy was great, sound and DJ support were solid, and door handling ran smoothly. Communication and advertising were effective, with Humantix proving to be a great ticketing choice. Cleanup was quick. Overall, the entire event felt well supported and smoothly executed.
